Cost: FREE The MFC LGBTQ+ Youth Group is for young people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, +. The goal of the group is to create a place for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and free to be themselves without concern about being treated differently because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression. They will find support from caring mentors, and from peers who are having similar experiences. This regular gathering will allow local LGBTQ+ youth to build community, increase self-awareness and a positive selfregard, and develop stronger connections to the community. Monthly activities vary between guest speakers, games, LGBT culture, community outreach and more. The group is co-facilitated by volunteer adult mentors.
