Inspiring People Series- Jim Ott

Jim is an absolute dynamo of creativity, service and passion. His main focus is to direct his passion and energies toward putting his faith into action through intentional relationship. His presentation will be a sharing of what he's learned from his own life journey with a focus on the impact of intentional relationship on individual lives as well as on groups of people from schools to churches to the community. The presentation will be interactive and may even include a bit of entertainment!

Jim is a school psychologist with Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency based in Davenport, IA. In addition to serving students in Jackson County for the past 31 years, Jim is actively involved in community-building, youth leadership and faith development, music and theater projects, and he’s authored two self published books, "Fool's Gold: Searching for Goodness in the Human Heart," and "Questions Jesus Asked." Jim is a certified trainer in Ruby Payne’s A Framework for Understanding Poverty and Bridges Out of Poverty material as well as being a national consultant for Dr. Payne’s Aha!process business (www.ahaprocess.com). Jim lives in Dubuque with his wife of 31 years,Teresa. They have four children aged 17-26.
